Skin boosters model 01, epiclinic Adelaide

Skin boosters improve skin smoothness, hydration, elasticity, and texture. Treatment can create beautiful, healthy, and glowing skin, with results lasting up to nine months. Our skin boosters also contain lidocaine, an anaesthetic which increases comfort during treatment.

What is a Skin Booster and how does it work?

Skin Boosters have the incredible ability to draw water and can draw 1000 times its own weight, and is highly effective in retaining these water molecules. The ability of a skin booster to retain water makes it hydrate the skin beautifully. The skin is left looking more youthful, smooth, refreshed, and dewy.

What can prompt the need for skin boosters?

As we get older, our body naturally produces less hyaluronic acid, and it can be harder to keep our skin moisturised. Our skin can start to become dryer by our late teens to our early 20s, with dry skin becoming quite common by the time we reach our 40s as the rate at which our hyaluronic acid production reduces becomes faster. The lack of hydration in certain areas can make our skin look dull, and even wrinkly.

How is the skin booster treatment performed?

To hydrate and smooth the skin in the desired areas, as well as improve elasticity and texture, our skin boosters are administered as a series of small injections which disperse quickly and evenly. Treatment should be comfortable as the boosters contain lidocaine as an anaesthetic. For best results, three treatments performed three weeks apart are required.

What are the benefits of skin boosters?

Skin boosters can provide fast hydration and natural-looking smoothness, as well create plump and glowing skin. In addition to hydrating the skin, Skin Boosters can stimulate collagen and elastin production, which can work wonders on skin texture, skin tone, and fine lines and wrinkles. This means that skin boosters can support our overall skin health in the long-term.

Which areas can be treated?

Skin boosters can improve skin elasticity, texture, and hydration, as well as reduce fine lines and wrinkles, in the following areas:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Hands
  • Under the eyes
  • Around the mouth

Am I a good candidate for skin boosters?

Suitable candidates for skin boosters are those who want to improve the health of their skin by hydrating and smoothing the skin in the treatment areas. Those who have fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin texture, and dry skin in areas on the face, including around the eyes and the mouth, or on the neck and hands, can benefit from skin boosters.

The best way to determine your suitability for skin boosters is to book a consultation at epiclinic to discuss your goals for treatment.
